
This sweet potato smoothie is one of my favourite smoothies (I mean I love all smoothies, but still). The first time I tried it was actually when Julia and me travelled to Berlin and we had it at a small cafe and we instantly knew we had to remake it. Although we had no idea how. First of all, we had no idea that you could blend raw sweet potato! I always thought that you had to cook them, but after a bit of research (thanks google) we found out that unlike regular potatoes you can eat them raw. Yay!
From that moment we started experimenting with different flavours that went well with sweet potato for this smoothie, and boy did we find the best one! It’s passion fruit! Passion fruit makes the sweet potato taste more fresh and helps balance the flavours of the rest of the smoothie so well. The rest was so simple and now I can enjoy this smoothie every morning, afternoon and night.

Sweet potato smoothie
1 medium sweet potato
2 passion fruits
1 banana
1 ½ cup of plant milk
1 date, pitted
1 tbsp hemp seed
Peel the sweet potato and cut into chunks, place it in the blender with the other ingredients. blend until smooth.
